THE VERMONT COUNTRYSIDE . . .
. . . was so quiet. No planes! No trains, subways, or taxis! In this very rural area of Vermont, there were very few cars, too. It was a writer's paradise. When we weren't working on our lastest piece or assignment, we did take time to stroll through the dirt roads listening to sounds of birds, horses and babbling streams . . . just hearing the quiet.
